Kelvin's chirality of optical beams

چکیده
Geometrical chirality is a property of objects that describes three-dimensional mirror-symmetry violation and therefore it requires non-vanishing spatial extent. In contrary, optical only the local handedness electromagnetic fields neglects geometrical structure beams. this manuscript, we put forward physical significance beams, which term "Kelvin's chirality". Further, report on an experiment revealing coupling Kelvin's to upon transmission focused beam through planar medium. Our work emphasizes importance in all light-matter interaction experiments involving structured light beams with spatially inhomogeneous phase polarization distributions.
